Zapraszamy/You are invited

Jednak to czas zaprezentować swoje kreacje. Możecie je obejrzeć, pokochać i kupić tutaj.

Today we’ve started our adventure with Etsy for real. For few weeks we watched people selling very interesting, complicated, beautiful items. Sometimes we looked fascinated as the natural materials like wood change into astonishing platte. And we always loved all these old machines which make it possible to create eye catching letterpress prints. But now it’s time to show our own creations. You can see them, love them and buy them here. And if you don’t find anything that suits you don’t be afraid there is much more coming!

Nareszcie są!/Finally they are!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally they’re here! Though we waited long time and we lost our faith, we have them in our hands. It didn’t look complicated - send package with ordered elements, bu we had to ask for several times when will they send. Now we can move on. So on weekend you can start to look for information about our crazy faces debut on Etsy.
Another important information from this week - we worked at full blast on our St. Valentines creations. Yes, we know there’s a long time till 14th February, but as we want to create for you unique and perfect products, we must start really early.

Obdaruj nieznajomego!/Gift a stranger!

W międzyczasie jednak postanowiliśmy kogoś uszczęśliwić i obdarować.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Though everything seemed checked and prepaired it seems that there are some unpleasant suprises ahead. When we were creating our face creatures we knew that we need by some  parts as we aren’t able to make them ourselves. We did little research on possible options and found a copmany in Łódź, which had everything we wanted in very good prices. Unfortunately at the momemnt the company doesn’t answer our e-mails! We will try contact them tommorow for the last time.
The most frustrating thing about all this is that we had to postpone our debiut on Etsy and you can’t get to know our crafts. In the meantime, however, we deicided to gift a stranger. Idea created by brussels communication agency is very simple. After filling our name, adress and description of the gift we want to send we receive adress of our stranger. As we said - really simple, and yet a great fun! Exact description you can find in the mowie below:

Tuż przed premierą/Just before the debut

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You cannot adopt them now but they are here! The magnificient ten - ten rainbow face creatures. Small photo shoot has been this morning, now it's time for their names. At the moment you can meet Presley and Uncle Sam (guess who is who!). You'll meet the rest of the pack on the day of their debut on Etsy. So, stay tuned!

Placek jabłkowy na niepogodę/Apple pie for bad weather

Jaka jest pogoda za oknem każdy widzi. Choć w kalendarzu styczeń, pogoda raczej przypomina tą wczesnowiosenną - mokro, szaro i zupełnie nijako.
Niezwykle kruche, pełne cytrynowego aromatu ciasto w połączeniu z miękkimi jabłkami z imbirem i cynamomen ukoi nawet największą zimową chandrę!

Placek jabłkowy (na podstawie Jamie Oliver w domu)

Ciasto kruche:
400 g mąki
70 g cukru
200 g zimnego masła
skórka starta z jednej cytryny
2 jajka
łyżka mleka
Należy przesiać mąkę z cukrem na stolnicę (my połączyliśmy składniki w misce) i dodać masło, rozcierając składniki w palcach. Kiedy będzie miało konsystencję kruszonki (coś w stylu mokrego piasku) można dodać skórkę z cytryny, jajka i mleko i szybko zagnieść ciasto.

Jednym wykładamy posmarowaną masłem formę do tarty (nasza miała 28 cm średnicy), drugi posłuży nam do przykrycia placka. Wystudzone jabłka należy przecedzić przez sito, i wyłożyć na ciasto, polać połową zachowanego soku. Teraz wystarczy już tylko posmarować brzegi ciasta rozmąconym jajkiem i nałożyć drugi placek, palcem mocno sklejając brzegi. Wierch ciasto trzeba jeszcze posmarować resztą jajka, posypać obficie cukrem i cynamonem. Piec ok godziny w dobrze nagrzanym piekarniku.

In Poland, where we live, we are having horrible weather these days. Old, polluted snow melts making everything wet and looking awfully. It’s hard to imagine how bad it is! But the most horrible thing is that it makes us feel down and without energy. And energy is what we need most during the next weeks, because of our startup preparations. So we desperately needed help, we needed cake!
Firstly, delicious, red apples with a hint of ginger and cinnamon. Secondly, crusty pastry with a touch of lemon aroma. These two things gave us boost that we needed.
Apple pie (from Jamie Oliver at home)
Pastry dough:
400 g flour
70 g sugar
200 g cold butter
lemon zest from one lemon
2 eggs
tablespoon of milk
Sift the flour from a height onto a clean work surface and sift the sugar over the top. Using your hands, work the cubes of butter into the flour and sugar by rubbing your thumbs against your fingers until you end up with a fine, crumbly mixture. Now mix in lemon zest. Add the eggs and milk to the mixture and work it quickly together until you have a ball of dough. Pat it into a flat round, flour it lightly, wrap it in plastic wrap and put it into the refrigerator to rest for at least half an hour.
Pie:
50g butter, plus extra for greasing
100g sugar, plus extra for sprinkling
10 small apples cored, peeled and each cut into 16 wedges
1 tablespoon ginger
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Put the butter and sugar into a saucepan and, when the butter has melted, add the cored, peeled and cut into wedges apples and ginger. Slowly cook for 15 minutes with a lid on.
Meanwhile, remove your pastry from the fridge. Dust your work surface with flour, cut the pastry in half and, using a floured rolling pin, roll one of the pieces out until it’s just under 1cm thick. Butter a shallow 26cm pie dish and line with the pastry, trimming off any excess round the edges. Tip the cooled apples into a sieve, reserving all the juices, then put the fruit into the lined pie dish so you have a mound in the middle. Spoon over half the reserved juices. Brush the edge of the pastry with beaten egg. Roll out the second piece of pastry, just as you did the first, and lay it over the top of the pie. Trim the edges as before and crimp them together with your fingers. Brush the top of the pie with the rest of the beaten egg, sprinkle generously with sugar and the cinnamon, and make a couple of slashes in the top of the pastry. Place the pie on a baking tray and put into preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.

No to zaczynamy!/Kickstarting!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, it’s time to start... Though the joy of creating something with your own hands accompanies us since childhood, now, when we want to present you our work, we’re a bit afraid. There was said enough about how hard is to start (here you can find nearly complete list), but still the most important conclusion is that we are ourselves’ biggest enemy. Our inner critic always says - „What’s the point?”, „I’ll never be as good as [fill in the blank]“, „I’ll work on this later.”. However there sometimes comes such a moment when pain of not changing is worse than change itself. It is that moment for us.
That’s why within a few days you can look for our colorful, crazy face creatures. At the moment we giving our creatures the final touch, wraping up, labeling. Ale the mess that comes before le grande finale!
